From a simple idea to thousands of crates in homes and businesses across the UK

Setcrates was born out of a passion for wood and the desire to create products that are not only visually appealing but also truly functional. We started modestly – with our first handcrafted crate models designed for craft fairs and local markets.
Our goal was to make something durable, versatile, and aesthetically pleasing. Something that could serve as a decorative element in the home, or as a practical display solution in a business setting.

2015

The Birth of an Idea

This was the year our very first crate prototype was made – and it quickly gained attention among friends and local customers. Right from the start, we saw a demand for this kind of product and knew it was time to take things further.

2016–2018

Expanding the Range and First Wholesale Orders

These were years of experimenting with styles, finishes, and colours. We added new sizes, refined the construction, and created dedicated collections for different uses – for homes, gardens, shop windows, or as holiday gifts.

During this period, we also began working with local boutiques and event companies that were seeking natural and creative display solutions.

2019

Launching Our Online Store

A breakthrough moment: we launched our e-commerce site at storefredcompany@gmail.com. This allowed us to reach customers all over the UK – and even beyond.

We focused on providing clear photos, accurate descriptions, and a smooth shopping experience. From this point, anyone could order our crates from the comfort of their home.

2020–2021

The Pandemic and New Challenges

The lockdown era brought major changes. Many people began renovating their homes, gardens, and remote workspaces – and our crates became the perfect fit for this trend.

We expanded our product range, optimized our packaging, and improved logistics to keep up with demand, ensuring timely deliveries and high-quality service even during difficult times.

2022–2024

Growth and Collaborations with Larger Brands

Our crates started appearing in restaurants, hotels, concept stores, wedding venues, and industry events. We handled large wholesale orders – from 100 up to 1000 units – proving that we are ready for the demands of the professional market.

We also added themed collections and gift packaging options to our offer.

2025

A New Chapter

Today, Setcrates is more than just a store – it’s a brand trusted by thousands of customers across the UK. We fulfil hundreds of orders every month and continue to expand our product range.
